A LinkedIn blog post for the #CaseForChange Tanzania film I produced in one of the worlds biggest refugee camps.
This film had so many amazing human impact stories that we unraveled in the the interviews that we created (for the first time) individual biographies for the students. See additional films below some images from the trip,
At the end of January I was really fortunate to be able to go to Nyarugusu, Tanzania and film in one of the biggest refugee camps in the world.
I spent a few days visiting families and children who had such tough stories to tell about their lives but also shared their hopes and dreams with us. A simple installation of a digital classroom has transformed the education for a whole generation there. When I first came across the Vodafone Instant Network Schools programme I knew it was a story we had to share on the campaign.
#CaseForChange has given us so many insights into the amazing work that the mobile industry is delivering everyday in creating better futures for millions of people. With thanks to many colleagues and partners in making this film possible I'll never forget those moments sitting in small huts listening to heartbreaking stories followed by unbelievable belief that education will be the lifeline to overcome immense adversity.
I'm really proud to share this video with the world.
Please watch it, share it and tell me what you think.
