Squiggly Careers

May 2021 - Present

The language of careers is changing. Having spent the best part of a decade trying to 'climb the ladder’ in marketing, waiting for opportunities and working towards the next step, I came across AmazingIf and their philosophy of Squiggly Careers. 

Amazing If, is an award-winning company with a mission to make careers better for everyone. They are the co-hosts of the UK’s no.1 careers podcast, Squiggly Careers, which has had more than 2m downloads and their TEDx talk The best career path isn’t always a straight line has been watched by over 1.5m people. (

Whilst I was going through career coaching and establishing my skills, experience and looking to find a career where I would utilise these and add value, I read the Squiggly Careers book and it transformed my career. 

 I put their guidance into practice and found myself in a new role (Head of Community) that I'd never considered before and yet find myself flourishing, happy, growing, learning and adding value. 

In May 2021 I was selected as one of the 100 global Squggily Career Advocates as part of their pilot programme to support others in their career journeys.

As well as creating a great network of like-minded people, who are there to share ideas and overcome challenges, we also had dedicated training from founders Helen Tupper and Sarah Ellis.

My first-hand application and growth have given me and many more around me lots of confidence to embrace a Squiggly Careers.
