CitiBase 20th Anniversary awards @ Tower bridge
September 2012
‘Create a landmark event that will drive people to go home and tell their family and friends about the amazing experience they had at Citibase’s Awards’.
This was the brief.
To mark the big anniversary with something iconic. With that in mind and the country still in 2012 Olympic fever, I created an Olympic themed event in the walkways at Tower Bridge.
The bridge was floodlight in the company pink for the evening and 200 industry elites gathered for a fun and non-corporate awards ceremony.
To present the awards, we invited GB Hockey Team star Georgia Twigg (with her Olympic medal) and for entertainment we hired a Bradley Wiggins look-a-like.
Logistically, this event was something else. sourcing everything from food, lighting, props, chairs, drinks from scratch and having it arrive 65m in the sky using one lift.
The event matched the brief by being in one of the most iconic London venues and gave everyone a story to take home. As a result the event was featured in a handful of industry publications.
